The short version

We use cookies to maintain signed-in sessions and local storage to remember guest actions you ask us to save. The current Faded Forward site does not set optional advertising or behavioral analytics cookies.

1 Scope

This Cookie Policy explains how Faded Forward (“Faded Forward,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar browser technologies when you visit or use our website and marketplace services.

It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information. Our Terms of Service govern your use of Faded Forward.

2 Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies

Small text records a website asks your browser to store and return with later requests. Faded Forward uses them for account authentication and session continuity.

Local storage

Browser storage that remains on your device and is not automatically sent with every web request. We use it for specific guest features described below.

These technologies may contain identifiers and can be personal information when they relate to a person or account. Server logs, IP addresses, and ordinary network requests are covered by our Privacy Policy but are not themselves cookies.

3 What Faded Forward stores

The exact authentication cookie name may include our Supabase project reference and may be divided into multiple cookie parts when needed. Names and expiration behavior can change when the authentication library is updated, but the purpose remains the same.

Technology Purpose Duration
Supabase authentication cookie(s) sb-…-auth-token Strictly necessary cookie

Keeps you signed in, refreshes your account session, and lets authenticated pages and requests recognize your account.

Until you sign out, clear browser data, or the session expires or is revoked under the authentication provider’s controls.

Guest cart faded-forward:guest-cart:v1 First-party local storage

Remembers item identifiers and quantities you place in a cart while signed out. Limited to 100 unique items.

Until it is transferred to a signed-in account, you clear the cart, or browser data is removed.

Guest favorites faded-forward:guest-favorites:v1 First-party local storage

Remembers listing identifiers you mark as favorites while signed out. Limited to 250 identifiers.

Until it is transferred to a signed-in account, you remove the favorites, or browser data is removed.

Guest listing draft faded-forward:sell-draft:v1 First-party local storage

Saves the current sell-flow step and the unpublished listing information you enter so you can continue the draft in this browser.

Until the draft is published, discarded, transferred to an account, or browser data is removed.

Current inventory: this table reflects technologies directly used by the current Faded Forward application. Browser extensions, network operators, and websites opened outside Faded Forward may store other data that we do not control.

4 Service-provider websites

Supabase provides our authentication system and processes the session cookies described above on our behalf. Learn more in the Supabase Privacy Policy .

When you follow a link or are redirected to an independently operated provider—such as a Stripe-hosted payment or seller-onboarding page, a carrier page, or another linked website—that provider may use cookies under its own policy. Cookies set only on those providers’ domains are controlled by them, not by Faded Forward.

5 Advertising and analytics

No behavioral tracking technologies

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, analytics pixels, or device fingerprinting on Faded Forward.

Because the current site does not load optional advertising or behavioral analytics technologies, there is no optional-cookie toggle to manage. If we introduce optional technologies, we will update this policy and request consent where applicable before activating them.

Faded Forward does not currently respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no generally accepted technical standard for those signals and we do not currently conduct the cross-site behavioral tracking those signals are intended to limit.

6 Your browser choices

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies and site data. Controls are commonly available under Privacy, Security, Cookies, or Site Data in browser settings. Settings apply per browser and device, so you may need to repeat them elsewhere.

  • Blocking authentication cookies may prevent sign-in, keep sessions from refreshing, or make account features unavailable.
  • Clearing local storage removes guest cart, favorite, and draft data from that browser. It does not delete cart, wishlist, listing, or account records already saved to a signed-in account.
  • Signing out ends the active account session through Faded Forward, but browser settings remain the most direct way to inspect or remove stored site data.
Clear guest storage on this device

Removes only the three Faded Forward guest records listed above. It does not sign you out or delete account information.

7 Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the policy was most recently revised. If a change materially affects your choices, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
